The Challenges

Stage 1 – The Run

In April of 2009 I ran more than 350 miles in 14 days to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
• 5th April: Run the Paris Marathon
• 6th – 17th April: Run 300 miles from Paris to London
• 26th April: Run the London Marathon

However, following a family bereavement over the summer and a friend receiving a set-back in their fight against cancer, together with a desire to do more to help fight the disease I decided to extend the paris2london project.

Stage 2 – The Climb

In the summer of 2010 I climbed two mountains in two different continents in just 3 week.  First I successfully scaled Mt Damavand (5,610m) in Iran before travelling to Tanzania to conquer Mt Kilimanjaro (5,892m) – a combined height of over 11,500 meters (or over 2,500m more than Mt Everest).

Stage 3 – 25 Peaks & Record Hunting

 i) 25 Peak Challenge – I will start by climbing 25 of the tallest peaks in the Lake District – including Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England.  This is normally done over 2 days but I’ll be attempting to conquer all 25 peaks in under 24 hours and unlike the more popular 3 Peaks Challenge, the entire route is on foot with no driving between peaks or resting.

UPDATE: The 25 Peak Challenge was completed in a record-breaking time of 22 Hours 45 Minutes.  Full account and some pictures to follow.

Record Hunting: I have now started training to for 3 World Record attempts and complete a 24-Hour Triathlon over the next 12 months.  Details on each to be released nearer the time as logistics are finalised.

If you would be kind enough to sponsor me I would be incredibly grateful.

It would also be very helpful is if you could help to raise awareness of what I’m doing by letting as many people as possible know about the challenge, as well as joining the facebook group and inviting all your friends!

There will also be a series of events with a paris2ondon theme organised to help raise funds towards the total. These range from sporting competitions & a martial arts award evening to raffles & Fashion Shows and will be described in more detail in the “Events” section as they are organised.
