University of Bath Sports Association – Netball Competition II (2010)

On the afternoon of Weds 21st April (12:30 start) the Sports Association will be holding the second Club, Society & Department Netball Competition in the Founder’s Hall in aid of Cancer Research UK .

Following last year’s success all clubs, societies & departments (as well as assorted others – random course/kitchen/friendship groups also more than welcome) are again invited to enter a team and challenge for the trophy won by the The Ultimate Frisbee Purple Cobras after a thrilling final against Architecture & Civil Engineering!

It should be quite a fun, light-hearted event with prizes for the team in the best fancy dress kit (won last year by Lets Play Cricket’s schoolgirl ensemble) as well as the team that brings the most fans!

Don’t worry – you don’t need to have any great understanding of netball (or any understanding what-so-ever as the boys proved last year) – a copy of the rules will be sent out and explained before we begin, and even then they will be leniently applied.

Netball teams are made up of at least 7 people – subs are optional. Entry fees are £3 per player which all goes towards helping to beat cancer – it may seem like a small amount but it really does add up and you can help to make a huge difference whilst hopefully also taking part in a really enjoyable afternoon – there’ll be music and plenty of refreshments to keep everyone entertained – with the festivities continuing at Score (including trophy presentation)!
